Yeomanry
| This regiment finds its roots in
the troops raised in 1798 at Frome, Road, Woolverton, Mells, Beckington
and Bath. The "North Somerset Yeomanry" woud be formed
in 1814.
A Light Dragoons pattern uniform was introduced in 1856, dark Blue with white lace. The Officers' uniform lace had a very unique design. That would be discontinued in 1888, with the introduction of a uniform similar to that of the 6th Dragoon Guards. |
