This Trooper is still wearing
the Light Dragoon pattern tunic, with five rows of braiding (that
would be replaced by a model with 6 rows by the late 1870s).
We will note that the cuffs appear to be scarlet.
The helmet sports q white horsehair plume,
reputedly introduced in 1856.
