It's a bit of a shame that the photograph
to the right is so faded, as it displays the very interesting
shako (note the cap lines) adopted by the Pembroke Yeomanry
about 1856 (after the fashion of the French Chasseurs d'Afrique).
It will later be replaced by a Hussar busby.
