four rows of braiding, recognizable thanks to their charactistic
double loops. On the table one can catch a glimpse of the cocked
hat sported with this uniform.
The sitter displays a remarkable physical
likeness to the Duke of Connaught, but he seems to be wearing the
Crimean War Medal (with one Clasp) and Turkish Crimea - a campaign
the Duke did not take part in.
