The officers' Mess Kit was specific to each
regiment.
The Mess Jacket of the 3d Hussars had a scarlet collar (the regimental facing color). The elaborate Waistcoat (worn underneath the Mess Jacket) was scarlet, is adorned in a specific regimental pattern with gold gimp lace and gold tracing cord. |
